Frederiksborg Castle

The first castle that we have visited was Frederiksborg Castle. It is approximately one-hour train ride from Copenhagen to the town of Hillerod, where the castle is located. However, as soon as I saw the view of the castle that sits on the lake, I knew it was worth it! The castle, largest Renaissance palace in Scandinavia, was built as royal residence back in 17th century.

Thanks their audio guides that were available in English and some other languages as well, we were able to visit all the rooms and learn the details about the castle. In my opinion, best place was the magnificent church.
It took us approximately one hour to tour the whole caste, but; of course you can spend more or less time depends on your interest and admiration.
