I am familiar with the Greek cuisine, as I can be considered as a Mediterranean. I had a chance to try some new dishes, but I was right, generally almost every dish was a different version of many food that I grew up eating.

According to the research that I did, Το Ταβερνάκι της Μαρίνας / Marina’s Tavern was one of the most famous local restaurants, and everybody was claiming that they have the most delicious food. On our first day we had our early dinner there and decided to share a sofrito, as we were recommended by the staff. Sofrito is a dish composed of slices of soused beef and mashed potato. It was so perfect that 3 days later we came back to enjoy it again. I was not able to make the connection at first (I cannot understand why), but this dish was almost identical to Turkish Rosto. The main difference between them was the sauce on the beef, which was more liquid and flavored, and frankly, I prefer the Greek one. Furthermore, the restaurant was perfect, very cozy and very Greek. It is a perfect place to try Greek starters and ouzo. Staff was very nice and welcoming as well. Totally recommended!
